Exhibition stall printing means the graphics that turn an empty booth into your brand: the fascia with your company name, the back wall panels, the counter front, standees and sometimes the floor. 3 Red Media prints these at its own large-format unit in Chandni Chowk, Pune, for exhibitors at trade fairs, industry expos, education fairs and smaller college or society exhibitions.
Every exhibition sends exhibitors a manual with stall dimensions, rules and deadlines. Start there. The print sizes come from that manual, not from guesses.
Shell scheme or bare space: what changes for printing
A shell scheme stall is the standard booth the organiser builds, usually with white panels on an aluminium frame and a fascia strip on top. You print panels that fit inside the frame, often as vinyl or sunboard sized to each panel. A bare space stall is empty floor, and your stall fabricator builds the structure. Then you print to the fabricator’s drawings, and the sizes can be anything.
For shell scheme, ask the organiser for the visible panel size (inside the frame), not the module size. The difference is small but it decides whether your print sits flat or buckles.
Stall element, size and material
| Element | What to check before ordering | Suggested print |
|---|---|---|
| Fascia name board | Exact strip height and length from the manual; organisers sometimes print the name themselves | Vinyl or flex strip |
| Back wall | Panel count and the visible size of each panel | Vinyl on sunboard panels, or one large flex on bare-space structures |
| Side walls | Whether the neighbouring stall hides the lower part | Same as back wall; keep key text high |
| Counter / promo table | Counter front size and curve if any | Vinyl wrap on the counter front |
| Standees | Floor space left after counter and chairs | Roll-up standees at the stall edge |
| Floor | Organiser rules on floor graphics | Floor graphics with anti-skid lamination |
Exhibitions in Pune: timing
Pune hosts exhibitions through the year at its exhibition centres, convention halls and hotel banquet spaces, covering industry, auto, real estate, education and consumer goods. Most manuals set a build-up day before the opening, and organisers often lock the hall at a fixed hour. Your prints need to be ready and packed before build-up, not on the morning of it.
Exhibitions in the Chakan, Bhosari and Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial belt are common for engineering and auto suppliers. We deliver to PCMC as well as Pune city, so plan the delivery day along with the print day.
Artwork checklist before you send files
- Sizes taken from the organiser’s manual or the fabricator’s drawing, written next to each file name.
- Logo and product images in high resolution; vector logos (AI, PDF, CDR, EPS) wherever possible.
- Key message and company name in the top 60 percent of each wall. Visitors stand close and the counter hides the lower part.
- Stall number, website and phone in large type: visitors photograph stalls to follow up later.
- Colours of your brand given as codes if you have them, so panels match your brochure.
- One file per panel, named in order (Back-1, Back-2…), so the setup team fixes them in sequence.
If you exhibit several times a year, keep the date and venue off the main panels. Put them on a small separate strip so the wall can travel to the next show.
Mistakes that cost exhibitors
Too much text. A visitor walking the aisle gives your stall two or three seconds. One clear line about what you do beats a paragraph of features, and the features can go on the standee and brochure.
Panels joined across a seam with a face or a logo running through the join. On shell scheme stalls, design each panel so nothing important sits on the frame line.
Forgetting transport. Sunboard panels bend if stacked badly in a car boot. Ask for them packed flat with corners protected, or choose roll-up formats if you will carry them yourself.
Lighting inside the hall
Exhibition halls are lit from high above, and many stalls add spotlights on the fascia and back wall. Glossy prints under spotlights show bright hot spots that wash out your message from some angles. A matte or lightly laminated finish keeps the wall readable from across the aisle. If your stall has a lightbox or a lit panel, that piece needs backlit media, so mark it clearly in your list.
After the show
Take the panels down carefully during dismantling, which is usually rushed and crowded. Peel vinyl slowly, stack sunboard panels face to face with paper between them, and roll flex with the print facing out. Labelled, well-packed panels are ready for the next exhibition instead of the scrap pile.
Ordering
Send the manual page with sizes, your designs, and the build-up date on WhatsApp or through the quote page. You get a price and proofs for each panel. Printing starts after approval, and the finished set is packed for pickup from Chandni Chowk or delivery.
