Local tips for mandals and societies
- Permission first. Mandal banners and pandal structures on public roads need permission from the PMC and the police for the festival period. Mandals usually know the routine; new committees should ask early. See banner permission in Pune.
- One list of sponsors. Collect all sponsor names and logos in one message, in the order they should appear. Late additions mean reprints.
- Society walls belong to the society. Inside a gated society, the committee decides where banners go and for how long.
- Take banners down after the event. Old flex left on poles annoys residents and can attract fines. Plan who removes it.
- Think about reuse. A plain, undated design for the mandal’s name can be reused every year, with only a smaller date strip reprinted.
Schools along the corridor
