Flex printing for Lonavala is mostly hospitality work: backdrops for destination weddings and corporate offsites at resorts, signage for hotels, villas and restaurants, and outdoor boards that have to survive one of the wettest monsoons in Maharashtra. We print all of it on our own setup at Chandni Chowk, Pune, about 65 km away, and arranges delivery up the ghat once you approve the proof on WhatsApp.
Lonavala has its own printers for everyday jobs. Event planners and resort managers come to Pune printers mainly for large event sets that are designed with a Pune or Mumbai client, where the proof has to be shared and approved by several people before the date.
The Lonavala season planner
In Lonavala, the right print depends more on the month than on anything else. Use this as a planning guide:
| Season | What is happening | What gets printed | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| June to September | Monsoon tourism, weekend crowds, waterfalls | Covered-area standees, indoor branding, short-run offer flex | Very heavy rain, wind and mist; outdoor fixing is slow |
| October to February | Wedding season, corporate offsites, winter holidays | Stage backdrops, entry arches, welcome boards, signage | Weekend dates book up; send designs early |
| March to May | Summer breaks, school and family trips | Pool-side and lawn signage, offer banners | Strong sun on south and west faces |
| Before each season | Resorts refresh their look | Fascia boards, directional signs, room and facility signs | Plan the refresh before the rain, not during it |
Why the monsoon decides the material
Lonavala sits on the Sahyadri crest, where monsoon clouds rise and dump their rain. Its yearly rainfall is roughly two to three times Pune’s, and extremes are real: in July 2026 Lonavala recorded about 1,290 mm of rain in 48 hours. A banner that would last a full season in Pune can tear or sag here within weeks if it is not built for it.
- Frame it. Outdoor flex should be stretched on a rigid frame, not tied between poles. Loose flex catches wind like a sail.
- Reinforce the edges. Folded and welded or stitched hems with closely spaced eyelets stop the tearing that starts at a single eyelet.
- Let the wind through. For big banners in open spaces, wind cuts reduce the load on the frame.
- Keep event prints under cover when you can. For a monsoon wedding, put the main backdrop in the hall or a well-built marquee and use outdoor flex only for direction signs.
Weddings and corporate events at Lonavala resorts
Destination weddings and offsites are where most large Lonavala orders come from. The set usually includes a stage backdrop, an entry arch or welcome board, directional signs from the gate to the venue, and photo-booth frames. Resorts often have a preferred decorator who builds the frames, so the frame drawing from the decorator is the most useful thing you can send us. For sizes and ideas, see wedding banner printing.
Hotels, villas and restaurants
Rented villas and homestays need a clear name board at the gate, often in a lane that is hard to find in the dark, plus small signs inside for house rules and Wi-Fi. Restaurants and chikki and fudge shops along the main road need fascia boards that stay readable through mist and rain. Our sign board printing and restaurant branding pages go into material choices for these. For rooms and lobbies, canvas prints of local landscapes are a quieter way to dress a wall.
Getting the print up to Lonavala
Delivery to Lonavala is arranged separately and quoted by distance and the size of the job. Add a day to whatever you would allow for a Pune order, and more on peak monsoon weekends, when the ghat roads crawl. For an event, plan for the print to reach the venue the day before, not the morning of. When you approve the proof we tell you the day the print will go up the ghat, and fixing at the venue can be arranged.
When you have the event date and the frame sizes, ask for a quote.
