Most flex printing in Bhosari is for factories. Bhosari’s MIDC area, set up in the early 1960s, is full of small and medium engineering units: auto component makers, tool and die shops, fabrication and precision machining firms that supply the bigger plants around PCMC and Chakan. 3 Red Media prints their safety signage, shop-floor boards and event banners at Chandni Chowk and delivers to the gate.
Factory printing is less about looks and more about being correct, readable and durable in a tough environment. A sign that peels off in oil mist or fades near a furnace door is a problem during an audit, so material choice comes first here.
Before a customer audit or plant visit
The busiest weeks for Bhosari units are the ones before a customer audit, a certification visit or a new customer’s plant tour. This is the checklist we usually work through with the person in charge of quality or HR:
- Safety signs at every machine that needs one: PPE required, hot surface, moving parts, no entry. Use standard safety colours and symbols.
- Fire extinguisher and hydrant location signs, emergency exit signs and the assembly point board.
- Area identification boards: stores, inward inspection, quarantine, rejected material, finished goods.
- 5S and visual-management boards, shadow boards for tools, and display boards for quality policy and work instructions.
- Walkway and forklift-lane marking on the floor, if paint is not being used.
- A clean gate banner or welcome board with the visitor’s name for the day of the visit.
Ask your QA team to share the exact wording and language required by the customer or auditor before we design. Re-printing a corrected sign costs more time than checking it once.
Language is worth a thought too. Shop floors in Bhosari employ operators from across Maharashtra and other states, so many units print safety lines in Marathi, Hindi and English together, with a pictogram that needs no language at all. Three languages on one sign means less space for each, so a slightly larger sign is often the honest fix.
Which material for which spot on the shop floor
| Location | Suggested print | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Machine guards and panels | Printed vinyl sticker, laminated | Wipes clean, sticks to metal |
| Walls in the production hall | Vinyl on sunboard, screwed or taped | Rigid, light, easy to replace |
| Gangways and forklift lanes | Floor graphics with anti-skid lamination | Takes foot and trolley traffic |
| Outside on the compound wall | Flex with eyelets on a frame | Handles sun and rain |
| Office, canteen and training room | Posters on sunboard, frosted film on glass | Neater finish for indoor spaces |

Plant events: Safety Week, Vishwakarma Puja and Diwali
Many units in Bhosari mark National Safety Week in early March with banners, slogan boards and a backdrop for the prize distribution. Puja days and the Diwali celebration on the shop floor bring their own backdrops and greeting banners. Because the same events come round every year, keep last year’s design file and we can update the year and the slogan rather than starting from scratch.
Bhosari town and the market
Outside the MIDC gates, Bhosari is also a busy town with shops, hospitals, coaching classes and housing along the Pune to Nashik highway. Shop owners here order fascia boards and offer banners like anywhere else in PCMC. For clinics and nursing homes, the hospital and clinic signage page covers what usually goes on the wall and the door.
Getting prints to a Bhosari factory
Factories have gates, security and inward registers, so a delivery needs a name and sometimes a PO or challan reference. Tell us who will receive the print, the gate number and the hours when inward is open. Prints go from Chandni Chowk up the highway into PCMC, and the gate delivery time is fixed with you after sign-off on the proof. Fixing inside the plant can be arranged if your safety rules allow outside workers.
Share your list of signs, even as a rough Excel sheet, and ask for a quote.
