Maharashtra’s real estate regulator (MahaRERA) requires registered projects to show the MahaRERA registration number and a QR code in their advertisements, including hoardings, and has fined projects that did not. Font size and placement rules also apply. Confirm the current MahaRERA circular with your legal team before you approve the design.
We print what you approve, but we will flag it if the proof has no registration number or QR code on it. It is easier to fix at proof stage than after a 20×10 ft hoarding is up.

Site hoardings that survive a Pune monsoon
A site hoarding stays up for months, sometimes years. It faces the summer sun, then four months of wind and rain from June to September. Three things decide how it looks in month six: the media, the tension on the frame, and wind relief.
- Ask for a heavier hoarding-grade flex for anything staying up more than a season.
- Keep eyelets close (every 1.5 to 2 ft) and tie the flex tight on all four sides.
- On very large exposed hoardings, mesh flex or air cuts reduce the sail effect in strong wind.
- South and west facing hoardings fade fastest; plan to refresh them rather than expecting forever.
Outdoor hoardings in PMC and PCMC limits need the civic body’s permission, and PMC has announced that authorised hoardings must also carry a QR code of their own (this is separate from the RERA QR). Our banner permission guide covers what to check.
Barricade wraps
The sheet barricade around a site is the longest piece of advertising a project owns, often hundreds of running feet along the road. Instead of one design stretched endlessly, design a set of repeat panels: project name and RERA details, a lifestyle image, amenities, the site address and a contact panel. Repeat the sequence. If a panel gets damaged by a truck, you reprint one panel, not the whole stretch.
Sample flat and sales office
Inside, the job changes from being seen to being believed. Wall graphics in the kids’ room, a skyline or view graphic on a blank wall, frosted film on the glass of the sales cabin, floor plans mounted on sunboard and a pair of standees at the entrance. Keep the floor plans accurate to the approved plan, and label carpet area the way the regulator requires.
Mistakes developers make with hoardings
Too much copy. A hoarding is read in about three seconds from a moving car. Project name, one line on what it is (“2 and 3 BHK, Bavdhan”), and a phone number. Everything else belongs on the website.
Tiny RERA details. Registration numbers squeezed into a corner in small type can fall foul of the display rules and do not reassure buyers either.
Low-resolution renders. Ask your architect or 3D studio for the full-size render file, not a JPEG from the brochure PDF.
Phone numbers that change. Use a number that will stay with the project for its whole selling life.
Site visit days and channel partner events
Weekend site visit drives and channel partner meets need their own short-life prints: directional boards from the main road to the site (many projects are a few turns off the highway), a welcome arch at the site gate, a registration desk with a counter wrap, and a backdrop for the launch or booking ceremony. Directional boards matter more than they seem. A buyer who gets lost on the way arrives annoyed, or not at all.
Keep the RERA number and QR on these event prints too wherever they advertise the project.
