Vinyl printing in Pune is priced by area: the width times the height of your piece in feet, multiplied by a per sq ft rate that depends on the type of vinyl and the finishing. A plain printed sticker, a laminated sunboard sign and a one way vision window film all have different rates, even at the same size. This guide shows how the sum is built, so you can read any quote you receive, ours included.
How the per sq ft maths works
Convert inches to feet, multiply to get sq ft, then multiply by the rate. A piece 4 ft wide and 3 ft high is 12 sq ft. A piece 18 inches by 24 inches is 1.5 ft by 2 ft, which is 3 sq ft. Most shops charge on the full printed area, including any margin you ask for, and many apply a minimum order value on small jobs.

- Shop glass film, 6 x 4 ft: 24 sq ft x the rate per sq ft before GST and fitting.
- Laminated sticker sheet, 3 x 2 ft: 6 sq ft x the rate per sq ft before GST.
- Wall graphic, 8 x 5 ft: 40 sq ft x the rate per sq ft before GST and installation.
- With 18% GST added: ₹960 becomes ₹960 x 1.18 = ₹1,132.80. The GST line is shown separately on a proper invoice.

Printed, cut and specialty vinyl: three price logics
Printed vinyl is priced on the area you order. Cut vinyl is priced on the area of the colour sheet that the job uses, so a long line of thin text can cost more than the letters suggest. Specialty films such as one way vision, frosted and reflective carry a higher material cost, and the printing and application are also more careful. The ranges below were collected from public Pune listings and websites in October 2026. They are market indications, not our rate card. Listings mix units, often leave out GST, installation and design, and some are old. Treat them as a sense of the spread, never as a quote.

Why quotes for the same size differ
- One quote is print only; another includes lamination and cutting.
- Minimum order rules turn a small job into a larger bill per sq ft.
- Vehicle and window jobs include fitting in some quotes and exclude it in others.
- Film quality differs: a short-life sticker film and a long-life outdoor film are not the same product.
- GST is added later in some quotes, and included in others.
Ask every printer the same four questions: which film, is it laminated, is installation included, and is GST included. Then compare.
Lamination and mounting: the add-ons that surprise people
A printed sticker on its own is the cheapest form of vinyl. Put a laminate over it and you add a second material and a second pass through the machine. Mount it on sunboard and you add the board, the pasting and the trimming. Each step is reasonable, but together they can nearly double the cost per sq ft compared with plain print. That is why the Pune listings above range so widely. Ask for the quote in lines: print, laminate, mount, fit, so you can see which line you can drop.
Small jobs, big jobs and the minimum
Setting up a print job takes the same effort for a 2 sq ft sticker as for a 40 sq ft panel. That is why small jobs often carry a minimum value, and why the per sq ft rate usually falls as the area grows. If you have several small pieces, such as door stickers for five rooms, send them together as one order. If the same design is needed in different sizes, ask for them to be laid out on one sheet.
Installation: what decides the fitting charge
- Height and access: a ground-floor shop window is easy; a first-floor facade needs a ladder or a platform.
- Surface condition: dirty, oily or damp surfaces take longer to prepare.
- Complexity: a single sheet on glass is quick; a wrap with curves or a wallpaper with many panels takes longer.
- Travel: sites far from Chandni Chowk may carry a travel element.
- Removal of old vinyl: stripping an earlier sticker and cleaning adhesive is extra work.
Fitting can be arranged for most products; ask when you send the size. Some customers prefer to have their own contractor fit the vinyl, and that works fine for simple jobs such as glass stickers.
