Printed window film puts a logo, pattern or other graphic on glass while keeping some daylight in the room. The right choice depends on whether you need a view through the glass, more privacy, or a clear logo that leaves most of the window open.
At 3 Red Media, our print unit is at Chandni Chowk, Pune. We print vinyl for shopfronts and office glass, and can arrange fitting when you send the size and details.

What is printed window film?
Printed window film is a graphic printed on adhesive film and applied to a glass surface. It can carry a logo, colours, lettering or a repeated pattern. The amount of light and visibility depends on the film type and how much of the glass the design covers.
For a shopfront, the graphic can help identify the business and make a large glass area useful for branding. For an office, film can mark a glass partition or add privacy at eye level. We print the film to the supplied artwork or help prepare a layout from the details you send.
Outdoor printed vinyl is usually laminated to help protect the printed surface. Glass direction and exposure matter: west-facing glass in Pune can get harsh afternoon sun, and monsoon weather from June to September brings rain and wind to exterior-facing graphics.
What are the types of printed window film: one way, clear, frosted?
The common choices are one way vision, clear vinyl and frosted film. They serve different purposes, so decide first whether people should see through the glass, notice a logo, or have more privacy.

| Film type | What it does | Useful for |
|---|---|---|
| One way vision | Perforated film with a printed face; visibility depends on which side is brighter | Shop windows needing a large graphic and a view from inside in suitable light |
| Clear vinyl | Printed logo or design sits on clear film, leaving unprinted areas more open | Small logos and graphics where daylight and a less covered look matter |
| Frosted film | Diffuses the view while still passing daylight; it can carry a cut or printed design | Office partitions, meeting rooms and glass doors where privacy is useful |
One way vision works best when the outside is brighter than the inside. At night, or when interior lighting makes the room brighter, the see-through effect can change. Frosted film gives a more consistent privacy effect across the treated area, but it does not work like a clear window.
See our one way vision printing in Pune and frosted glass film options for details on those applications.
Can I print a full-colour logo on window film?
Yes, a full-colour logo can be printed on suitable window film. Send a high-resolution logo file if you have one, along with the finished size and a photo of the glass. We can review the artwork and prepare a digital proof showing placement and proportions.
For a simple logo or wording, cut vinyl lettering may suit the job. It can leave more of the glass uncovered than a printed panel. If you want a coloured logo with a background or detailed image, printed film may be a better fit. See vinyl lettering in Pune for the cut-letter option.

What is window film with print used for in shops and offices?
Window film with print is used for shop names, opening-hour information, product graphics, seasonal displays and brand colours on glass. Offices use it on entrance doors and partitions to add a logo, identify rooms or screen selected areas without blocking daylight completely.
A full-window graphic can make a shop visible from the street, while a smaller mark near the entrance can identify the business without covering much glass. For a wider shopfront project, we can help coordinate the film with other printed materials; see shop branding printing.
If the design will be seen from a footpath or road, keep important text and logos at a readable size. For vehicle windows, the glass angle and visibility requirements can differ; send a photo and ask us to review the intended use before choosing a film.
How long does printed window film last on Pune glass?
There is no single lifespan that applies to every window film job. Exposure, glass direction, surface preparation, installation, cleaning and the film selected all affect how it holds up. Direct afternoon sun on a west-facing window can be harder on a graphic than a sheltered indoor partition.
Exterior film also faces rain and wind during Pune’s monsoon season. Lamination is commonly used for outdoor printed vinyl, but it does not make a fixed lifespan guarantee. Clean the glass gently and avoid abrasive pads or strong scraping across the printed face.
What files are needed for printed window film?
Send the width and height of each glass panel in feet and inches, plus a straight-on photo showing the full window and its frame. Note whether the film goes inside or outside, which parts should stay clear, and whether the purpose is branding, privacy or both.
For artwork, a vector logo file is useful; a high-resolution image can also work. Include the wording exactly as it should appear and mention any colours or pattern references. If you have only a rough idea, send a sketch or reference image and we can confirm what is needed for the proof. Our artwork guide explains file preparation.
We use the dimensions and artwork to quote the job and prepare a digital proof. Printing starts only after you approve that proof. If you need a quote for your window, send the details through the printed window film quote form.
How is printed window film fitted on glass?
The glass needs to be clean and the film needs to be aligned with the panel and any door hardware. The installer positions the film, smooths it onto the surface and works out trapped air with a squeegee. Large panels, edges and joins need careful handling so the finished graphic sits neatly.
Fitting can be arranged when you send the size and location details. Share the number of panes, access conditions and whether the glass is inside a shop or exposed outdoors. If your site has a specific permission or building requirement, check with your ward office or the relevant authority before proceeding.
