Vinyl graphics for trucks put a business name, logo or other artwork on the cab doors, sides or rear panels. We print graphics to the supplied size, send a digital proof for approval, and print only after you approve it.
The right layout depends on the truck body, viewing distance and what information matters to your customers. A simple name may suit cut vinyl lettering, while a detailed logo or image may need printed vinyl.

What vinyl graphics are used on trucks?
Truck graphics commonly include a company name, logo, service description, city, website or a short line about what the business does. Some owners use only the cab doors; others use the cargo box sides or rear. Keep the layout easy to read from the road and avoid packing too much copy into one panel.
Cut vinyl lettering works for solid-colour text, simple numbers and shapes. Each letter is cut from coloured vinyl sheet, weeded, then placed on transfer tape so the lettering can be positioned together. It is not printed. For artwork with several colours, gradients, fine details or photos, printed vinyl is usually the suitable format.
See vehicle branding in Pune for layouts across different vehicle panels, or vinyl lettering options for names and numbers.
What goes on a truck door: company name, logo, city?
A truck door is a useful place for a compact company name and logo because it is visible when the vehicle is parked or moving slowly. You can add a city, website or service category if it remains legible at the size available. Avoid putting small text close to handles, hinges, door gaps or deep body creases.
| Panel | Common content | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| Cab door | Business name, logo, city | Allow space around handles and seams |
| Cargo side | Larger logo, service line, website | Check the full panel shape and viewing distance |
| Rear door or tailgate | Name, web address, required markings | Keep visibility and any mandatory details in mind |
For a clean brand mark, send a sharp logo file and confirm the intended panel dimensions. If the logo has fine details, we can show their appearance at the proposed size in the proof. For printed options, see vinyl printing in Pune.

Do truck lettering and numbers have legal requirements?
Vehicle marking requirements can depend on the vehicle category, use and current transport rules. Check with the relevant transport authority or your vehicle operator before ordering mandatory lettering, identification numbers or reflective markings. We can make artwork to the dimensions you provide, but the customer should confirm which details are required.
For a shop or business sign, Maharashtra requirements may also apply to the business name board. A Marathi name in Devanagari may be required and should not be smaller than other scripts; confirm the current rule with your ward office. For display or advertising permissions, check with your ward office or the relevant authority, as requirements can vary by location and use.
Which vinyl lasts on a truck body?
Service life depends on the vinyl, the body surface, preparation, exposure and how the vehicle is washed and used. A truck parked outdoors faces sun, rain, road dust and regular cleaning, so the same graphic may wear differently from one kept under cover. Avoid treating any general lifespan as a promise for a particular vehicle.
The surface should be clean, dry and in suitable condition before application. Wax, dirt, rust, peeling paint and body damage can affect adhesion. Clean the body before fixing, and follow care instructions suitable for the material and vehicle surface. Our guide to how long vinyl can last explains the factors that affect it.

How are large truck panels fixed?
Large graphics are planned in sections that suit the body panel and artwork. Door gaps, rivets, handles, corners and raised sections can interrupt a design, so measure and photograph those details instead of treating the body as one flat rectangle. A printed graphic may need panel joins, and the proof should show where those joins fall.
Installation depends on the size and location of the graphic, the body condition and access to the vehicle. Send the size and vehicle details to ask whether installation can be arranged for your job. We can quote fabrication or installation when you send the size.
How do I get a truck measured for artwork?
Measure the usable panel width and height in feet and inches, then note the size of door gaps, handles, lights and other obstructions. A straight-on photograph with a tape measure in view helps show the panel shape. For curved or uneven bodies, share more than one angle and mark the intended graphic area.
Send the artwork or logo file along with the vehicle photos and measurements. Tell us which text must appear and where you want it placed. We prepare a quote and digital proof for review; printing starts only after you approve the proof. For file preparation, see how to send artwork.
